"Happily Ali After" Luncheon with Comedian Ali Wentworth for STAR Inc...Lighting the Way.
Fairfield County "It!" had a wonderful time at the 6th Annual Speakers Luncheon featuring comedian "Ali Wentworth" at the Woodway Country Club in New Canaan to benefit STAR Inc... Lighting the Way. The luncheon drew a sellout crowd of over 350 people and raised over $45,000 to benefit STAR’s services for infants, children, and adults impacted by intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk, Weston, Westport, Wilton, and Stamford.
Ali was very entertaining as she discussed dating, marriage, being a WASP, marrying a Greek, and parenting!
She has a successful and wide background of experience as a screenwriter, actor, comedian, producer and author.
She is married to George Stephanopoulus, political commentator and news host. Her stories delighted all with her tales of dreading their first date and other adventures since their 2001 nuptials. This year’s luncheon also featured a new, hand-selected vendor boutique and over $10,000 of donated prizes, including jewelry, luxury handbags, BMW bikes and scooters, tickets to a Taylor Swift concert, and the use of a Tesla for a day!
