Actor, Comedian, and NY Times Bestselling Author: Ali Wentworth Featured at STAR, Inc. Sixth Annual
The creator of the acclaimed series Head Case and author of Happily Ali After, Ali Wentworth, will be the guest speaker at STAR’s Sixth Annual Speaker’s Luncheon in support of people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). Ali Wentworth brings a wealth of experience to all her endeavors, including as a screenwriter, actor, comedian, and producer. Wentworth made a name for herself as a regular on two seasons of In Living Color. Since then she has made countless appearances on film and television and is the creator of two series, Head Case and, most recently NightCap. She is the author of The WASP Cookbook (Warner Books) which details the lack of taste in the puritanical culinary history with hilarious commentary on WASP culture, and Ali in Wonderland (HarperCollins), a comedic look at bad advice her mother has given her, was a New York Times best seller. Her latest book Happily Ali After, a comedic self-help book, is also a New York Times best seller. Additionally, Ali Wentworth is the founder of BabyLove DC and is a devoted children’s advocate. She also sits on the boards of the Children’s Defense Fund and Good Plus Foundation.
Tickets to the luncheon are $95 and VIP Tickets which include a champagne meet & greet are $150. A table of up to 12 people is $1,500. All proceeds benefit STAR, Inc., Lighting the Way’s programs and services for infants, children, and adults impacted by I/DD in Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk, Weston, Westport, Wilton, and Stamford.
